My journey of following my inner calling began with getting an opportunity to do a transformative flagship course of Purnam, Swadharma 9.0. After the course, I enrolled myself in volunteering for editing videos for Purnam under the guidance of Surya. I am immensely grateful to have got an opportunity to work on the videos for Purnam, as it was not just about learning the soft skill, but also a journey of going deep within & connecting with the works of Sri Aurobindo & The Mother, and also gently taming the perfectionist ego so that I could learn to create anything without getting attached to the outcome and the work.It is through working on the editing videos on Canva and iMovie, I could learn Canva, which has changed my life completely. Hi, I am Raghav 🙋🏻♂️ - a data engineer by profession and a volunteer at Purnam. I have been sensing my calling towards spirituality since the last 3 years and am always trying to dwell over it.I always cherish creativity and a visual mode of learning & representations. My biggest learnings and answers to my questions regarding spirituality have come while I was editing videos and I have often achieved a sense of perfection thereafter. My journey with Purnam started through Savitri Painting. I belong to the Arts background felt myself lagging behind in technology. As for my interest in photography and editing pictures, motivated me to step up and volunteer for video editing and content creation for constant learning, growth and progress of oneself. To work for Purnam is being in touch with the divine presence within.
Spirituality is not just about Wisdom and Compassion, but also about Beauty and Work. Surya is one of the rare individuals who understand and lives this. The Video Artist Bootcamp Intensive is what will give you the skills and foundation for a fruitful journey. The sessions will be hands-on and experiential, it will be very difficult to catch up if you miss any of the sessions.The weekly gatherings during the project week are also crucial.The power of community and creative pressure of these gatherings will propel us forward towards our aspirations to create high quality videos. Intermittent participation would break the rhythm of action. As much as possible avoid missing any of the sessions and circles.

During the 1st and the 6th week, about 2-3 hours of practice time per week are required apart from the three 90-minute sessions each week. This will give you the skills needed and the foundation for the journey ahead. Schedule your calendar ahead of time and the collective energy will carry you :)The time commitment required during the project work weeks is 2-3 hours per week which is kept relaxed keeping in mind those who have other regular work commitments. You would be creating and editing 1 video every two weeks.These initial 3 months will really give you a sense of the spirit of the community and work, while working on your skills. Participants are highly encouraged to continue their commitment for longer and increase their time commitment - this will accelerate the growth and multiply the joy 🧡

All that is required is a basic comfort with technology and a willingness to learn and be consistent. Existing experience with video editing is a great plus.Our community of video editors have prepared an online course with guidelines to help you learn all the skills you need to create quality videos for the work. This course is suitable even for beginners.
